Caledonian Conservation Ltd provides a range of ecology and ornithology services for development and conservation in Scotland.

Through experience gained working for Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and Local Authority we are able to identify the optimal and most cost effective approach to any site, benefiting both the client and local ecology.

Services can be provided for any development or conservation project, with particular experience in onshore wind, mineral extraction and forestry.  We provide services for all stages of development, including ecological feasibility studies, ecology and ornithology baseline surveys, scoping, Collision Risk Modelling, Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA), Habitat Management and Monitoring Plans (HMMPs), discharge of planning conditions, Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) and post-consent monitoring.

This site provides an overview of some of the services Caledonian Conservation Ltd can provide.

Caledonian Conservation Ltd also undertakes inhouse research. A research poster on work undertaken on the distribution of grass snakes (Natrix natrix) in Scotland, presented at the 2012 UK Herp Workers' Meeting, is now available to download in Publications.
